The sculptures are composed by binding plant material to steel wire frames using waxed nylon cord. These sculptures speak of the relationships in nature, of the living cycles of plants, of the relationship of the earth to the sun, of birth, death, and regeneration, of the cyclical aspect of nature, and of our human relationship to these cycles. The forms of these sculptures are evocative of cocoons, seed pods, reed boats, and the human body. They are vehicles of voyage and containers for transformation.
